I still remember that day,
When your eyes met my gaze,
And I knew my world would never be the same.
For I had found the real thing.
Neither of us knew where it was headed.
And before we knew it,
We drifted apart,
And the you and I altered right before my eyes.
But our love for each other made it all better.
For we made our way back,
To the truth that will always hold us together.
Because without the fight, what's the purpose?
It soon became clear that we really did matter,
Because you were everything to me,

Now when I look into your beautiful blue eyes,
All I can see is your eyes in mine,
Because in your eyes,
God placed bright shinning stars.
When I see your incredible smile,
I could die knowing I would be just fine,
And the way you call me beautiful
Sends a tear rolling down my cheek,
And makes me shudder hoping that you never leave.
The way my head fits on your shoulder,
And the way you say, "I miss you,"
Makes me know that I can't be without you,
And that no other can ever have you.
As each day comes to a close,
I am thankful for the ways to enter a person's heart.
For without it,
